The Sailing Endorsement allows OUPV or master's license holders to carry paying passengers under sail. The additional exam topics cover material specific to sailing vessels: sail trim and points of sail, standing and running rigging, stability under sail including angle of vanishing stability, and the COLREGS rules that specifically apply to sailing vessels. Anyone running sailing charters or instruction needs this endorsement.
